There are a number of factors associated with the design and implementation of active spaces. In some cases, the design solution to revitalizing an area is the “rebirth” of the streetscape. The addition of pedestrian scale elements strengthens the relationship between the building and street while creating nodes of activity that draw people into particular areas.
